Healthy Neighborhoods Loan Pool Update
On August 12, 2009, the Federal Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) directed Bradford Bank to cease making loans. On August 28, 2009, the OTS took control of Bradford Bank and certain of the banks assets were sold to M&T Bank. Bradford Bank provided interim financing for and managed the loan program since its inception.
We have identified a major national bank to assume leadership and management of the loan pool. We are working together on the details of an agreement and expect a final commitment in mid January. The program will prioritize closing loans that were already in the system in the order they were scheduled to close.
This will have no impact on borrowers or loans which are closed or homes under renovation.
