MATCHING GRANTS FOR RENOVATION
Baltimore City has committed $1 million to match dollar-for-dollar the rehab portion of loans made from the Healthy Neighborhoods Loan Pool.

Healthy Neighborhoods oversees a $40 million private loan
fund and provides special below-market loans to homebuyers
and homeowners in Baltimore City to encourage investment and standard-setting renovation. Healthy Neighborhoods provides four innovative loans to eligible borrowers.

Buying a home in one of Baltimore's Healthy Neighborhoods? Healthy Neighborhoods offers a loan to help you purchase and renovate your new house on Healthy Neighborhoods target blocks. We get new neighbors invested in keeping Baltimore beautiful!

SPECIAL PURCHASE
The special first mortgage loan is available to home buyers who will purchase formally
vacant homes in Belair-Edison developed by St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center and other formerly vacant homes developed by Healthy Neighborhoods approved developers.

Already live in a Healthy Neighborhood? We can refinance your existing mortgage and lend you additional funds to update your home on a target block.

HOME IMPROVEMENT
If you live within the boundaries of a Healthy Neighborhood but not on a target block, we offer this loan to help you complete some renovation to your home. You can borrow between $5,000 and $40,000 to build a chef's kitchen, put in a spa bathroom, update outdated windows, upgrade with new mechanical systems--whatever your home deserves and you desire.

To thank borrowers of the Healthy Neighborhoods Loan Pool for their commitments to Baltimore and their neighborhoods, the Joseph and Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds and Healthy Neighborhoods, Inc. are offering free and discounted memberships and admissions to some of the city’s greatest cultural and arts institutions and attractions. The Welcome to Our Neighborhood program will only be available for a limited time to eligible borrowers of the Healthy Neighborhoods Loan Pool.
