Grants
The neighborhood organizations that participate in the Healthy Neighborhoods program are eligible to apply for grants which support the Healthy Neighborhoods program.
Marketing and Community Organizing
Healthy Neighborhoods provides modest grants to support real estate and community marketing and community organizing to those organizations participating in the program. Applicants should provide a letter describing its activities, a list of board members, proof of its non profit status, the organization's operating budget, and a work plan for its Healthy Neighborhoods activities.
The neighborhood organizations that participate in the Healthy Neighborhoods program receive training and mentoring to establish effective community organizing strategies. Below are resources from the most recent training event at the University of Maryland School of Social Work.

Community Activities and Capital Improvements
Healthy Neighborhoods offers grants of up to $1,000 to community organizations to support community activities or small community capital improvement projects which will support and build the housing market. Applicants should make their applications in letter form describing the activity, its impact upon the community and housing market and include a budget for the project.

- Building container gardens in Neighborhoods of Greater Lauraville
- Lighting Project in Southeast Baltimore
Healthy Neighborhoods Capital Grants
As a result of an innovative commitment from Baltimore City, Healthy Neighborhoods is able to make grants to eligible neighborhood organizations to fund in whole or part capital projects between $5,000 and $50,000 which improve the neighborhood's housing market.
